Denise’s English Class

 Today we started learning about poetry. We read the poem “I’m Nobody! Who are you?” By Emily Dickinson

 In today’s American literature class we were supposed to present our jam board about an origin myth we created. I didn’t get a chance to present today but i found everyone’s presentation to be really interesting and cool. Tomorrow my origin myth essay and I’m still working on it

 I was absent today 

 Today in class we were to read the passage about the origin myth and start drafting our own myth on the back of the work sheet

 Today in literature class we went over what we are going to learn in unit one and we wrote notes on the vocabulary we will cover this unit. we also did a bubble chart with 4 descriptors of ourselves. Then as a class we shared what we identified as.then we answered some questions about our descriptors and why the stereotype was wrong 

 Today in American literature we read an article on the dress code of Washington’s school . We discussed how Washington’s schools have a much stricter dress code than us in Dekalb. 

 Today in my American Literature class we read three times the passage called “The House”. We first read it as a class then we discussed what we thought the theme of the passage was. Then we talked as a class which purpose fit best into the passage, we came up with 2. We thought on stealing the house and also selling it.we looked at the important details that made us think that was the purpose, in additional we highlighted them and we ended the class discussing how to login to the blogger website
